The American Red Cross and Nebraska Community Blood Bank will be on campus for students and the UNL community to donate blood.

Husker Pantry Drive

September 29 - October 1
1 p.m. - 4 p.m.
Drop off donations at University Health Center, Room 127.

Food and other essential items can be taken to the University Health Center north entrance near the Husker Pantry. Those who prefer a contactless donation may purchase items via the pantry’s Amazon wishlist and have them delivered directly to the pantry.

Showtime at the Coliseum

Watch recognized student organizations and Greek chapters battle against each other with choreographed dances for ultimate bragging rights. This is a student event.

Yard Games Competition

5:30 p.m. - 7 p.m.
Vine Street Fields

Come cheer on the the student groups competing in the classic games of Cornhole, Washers, Ladder Ball and Spikeball and enjoy free pizza and Pepsi products while supplies last. This is a student event.

Wednesday, October 1

Battle of the Bands

8 p.m. - 10 p.m.
Bourbon Theatre

Battle of the Bands will feature local bands that include UNL students. The bands will compete for a spot as one of the final two bands who will battle for the championship during the Cornstock Festival. Students can vote on their favorite bands after the competition ends. FREE admission for the UNL community. Students will show their Event Pass and audience members will earn Attendance Points for Homecoming. Faculty & Staff will present their N Card for entry. There is a $5 cover charge for public attendees.

Thursday, October 2

Ice Cream Social on East Campus

12:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.
Dinsdale Family Learning Commons, Plaza

Enjoy a free scoop of dairy store ice cream and live music by local artist Jonathan Leach. Try one of the limited edition Homecoming flavors: "Follow the Butter Brickle Road," "Enchantmint" and "Scarlet City Swirl." Free for all UNL students, staff & faculty.

Outdoor Movie - Wicked

Join RHA for an outdoor screening of Wicked and enjoy a magical night under the stars!

Bring your blankets, lawn chairs, and your Scarlet City spirit for an evening of music, friendship, and a little bit of magic. Snacks and drinks will be available. Movie begins at 8pm. This is a student event.

Stroll campus and check out the Homecoming lawn displays from fraternities and sororities participating in the annual competition. All displays will embody the 2025 homecoming theme and will be up throughout the weekend.

Cornstock Festival

Memorial Stadium East Plaza

Cornstock offers a memorable evening for Husker fans of all ages. Check out the homecoming parade, enjoy food trucks (free for students with NCard), mocktails, balloon twisting & face painting, tattoo station, tractor hayrack rides, live music and more! There is something for everyone to get in the Nebraska spirit before the Huskers take on Rutgers.

5 pm – Cornstock opens

6 pm – Parade begins

~7:15 pm – Battle of the Bands Finalists Compete

8 pm – Cornstock closes

Homecoming Parade

6 p.m.
14th & R Streets

Come celebrate Homecoming by watching student organizations, community groups, homecoming royalty, the Cornhusker Marching Band and some special guests as they perform in our annual parade. Participants will include floats, golf carts, balloons, performances and more!

The Lincoln community, alumni and friends of the university are all invited to watch along the parade route, which starts outside the Nebraska Union and makes its way down 16th Street and Vine Street, ending up in the East Memorial Stadium Loop. Stay after the parade to grab some food and watch performances at the Cornstock Festival!

There will be free parking at 14th & Avery garage

Cheer on the Huskers as they take on Michigan State. Homecoming royalty will be crowned during the game, and homecoming winners will be announced during halftime.
