Faculty & staff are invited to show their Husker spirit in an office-decorating competition during Homecoming Week! We encourage all departments to decorate their office door or main entrance area based on this year's Homecoming theme "Scarlet City". This not only helps your office get in the spirit of Homecoming, but also the students, faculty and staff visiting your offices excited!

From Saturday, September 27 to Saturday, October 4, we invite all faculty and staff to help us walk the distance from Memorial Stadium to Spartan Stadium—and back—by collectively covering 1,440 miles! This isn’t a race—it’s a team effort. Whether you're a daily walker or just getting started, your steps count toward our shared goal.

Show your Husker pride this Homecoming by supporting the Husker Pantry! Faculty and staff can drop off donations and grab a free cookie at the Union Bank & Trust branch in the Nebraska Union any time this week from 8:30 AM to 5 PM. UBT will match every donation! Items of greatest need can be found on the Husker Pantry website.

UNL's annual Homecoming Blood Drive is the state’s largest blood supplier each year – with more than 460 donors.

Attend this event featuring local bands comprised of UNL students competing for one of two finalist spots to perform at the Cornstock Festival and be voted as Best Band. UNL Faculty and Staff get in free with their Event Pass. There is a $5 cover charge for public attendees.

Enjoy a FREE SCOOP of ice cream. Try one of the three limited-edition Homecoming flavors: "Follow the Butter Brickle Road," "Enchantmint" and "Scarlet City Swirl." There will be live music by local artist Jonathan Leach.

Walk down memory lane with the Archives & Special Collections Husker History 2025 event. We will celebrate stories from the UNL archives and show how these memories can be put into motion through research, teaching, and exploration with archival materials.

All are welcome at this free event, RSVPs are requested. Refreshments will be served.

Attend the first Annual Homecoming Yard Show, a featured event of this year’s Homecoming Week and part of the celebration of UNL Fraternity & Sorority Life's 150th anniversary on campus. 

Yard Shows have long been a vibrant tradition—a chance to honor MGC and NPHC organization’s legacy through stepping, strolling, and chanting. Please note, this is not a competition, but a celebration of unity, culture, and pride across our culturally-based fraternal organizations. All are welcome.

Marvel at the creative talents put forth by students to decorate the fraternity and sorority chapter houses along R Street, 16th Street and Vine Street. Displays go up at 12:00 pm Friday and will be up throughout the weekend.

Cornstock Festival

MEMORIAL STADIUM'S EAST PLAZA

Cornstock offers a memorable evening for Husker fans of all ages. Grab your spot to watch the homecoming parade, enjoy food trucks (free for students with NCard), mocktails, balloon twisting & face painting, tattoo station, tractor hayrack rides, live music and more! Two finalists from the Battle of the Bands event will perform.

5 pm – Cornstock opens
6 pm – Parade begins
7:15 pm – Battle of the Bands Finalists Compete
8 pm – Cornstock closes

Bring your family and friends and join us as the annual procession of music, cheers and Husker pride courses through the heart of city campus. Featuring the Cornhusker Marching Band, spirit themed floats and golf carts and the Homecoming Royalty Court.

Cheer on the Huskers as they take on Michigan State. Homecoming royalty will be crowned during the game, and homecoming winners will be announced at halftime.
