Watch your Nebraska Husker football team tackle the Purdue Boilermakers, live on the stadium’s big screen. Students, Faculty, and Staff will have the full stadium experience; sit right on the field or in the stadium seats, concessions are open, interactive games, photo booth, and more!

The American Red Cross and Nebraska Community Blood Bank will be at this location on campus for students to donate blood.


Husker Pantry Drive

1 p.m. - 4 p.m.
Drop off donations at Big Red Resilience and Well Being Office (127 in UHC)

Food and other essential items can be taken to the University Health Center north entrance near the Husker Pantry. Those who prefer a contactless donation may purchase items via the pantry’s Amazon wishlist and have them delivered directly to the pantry.

Watch recognized student organizations and Greek chapters battle against each other with choreographed dances for ultimate bragging rights. This is a student event.

Compete in the classic games of Cornhole, Washers and Ladder Ball, or come cheer on your friends and enjoy free pizza and Pepsi products while supplies last. All game supplies will be provided. Games will be self-refereed by teams and judges walking around the playing area.

Battle of the Bands

8 p.m. - 10 p.m.
Bourbon Theatre

This event is FREE and open to UNL students with their Event Pass and audience members will earn Attendance Points for Homecoming. Battle of the Bands will feature six local bands that include UNL students. The bands selected by UPC will compete for a spot as the final two bands who will perform during Cornstock. Students can vote on their favorite bands after the competition ends.

Husker History: Travel Through Time with Archives & Special Collections

3 p.m. - 5 p.m.
Love Library, Room 29

Join us for a trip down memory lane and Husker history with the Archives & Special Collections, October 3, from 3-5 p.m., in Love Library, lower level. All are welcome at the free Homecoming event, which will feature recently acquired or donated materials. Activities will include a selfie station with props featuring Husker mascots and icons and a time-traveling game with archival photos. RSVP now to help organizers prepare. Refreshments will be provided.

Friday, October 4

Beat Rutgers Drive-Thru Tailgate

11 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Wick Alumni Center

Hop in your vehicle or walk over to the Wick Center during your lunch break (anytime between 11a.m. and 1p.m.) for all the Nebraska Alumni swag you'll need before the Huskers take on the Scarlet Knights at Memorial Stadium the next day.


Lawn Display Viewing

Stroll campus and check out the Homecoming lawn displays from fraternities and sororities participating in the annual competition. All displays will embody the 2024 homecoming theme and will be up throughout the weekend.


Cornstock Festival

5 p.m. - 8 p.m.
Memorial Stadium East Plaza

Cornstock offers a memorable evening for Husker fans of all ages. Check out the homecoming parade, enjoy food trucks (free for students with NCard), mocktails, hair braiding/tinsel, balloon twisting & face painting, tattoo station, tractor hayrack rides, live music and more! There is something for everyone to get in the Nebraska spirit before the Huskers take on Rutgers.

  • 5 pm – Cornstock opens
  • 6 pm – Parade begins
  • ~7:15 pm – Battle of the Bands Finalists Compete
  • 8 pm – Cornstock closes

Homecoming Parade

6 p.m.
14th & R Streets

Come celebrate Homecoming by watching student organizations, community groups, homecoming royalty, the Cornhusker Marching Band and some special guests as they perform in our annual parade. Participants will include floats, golf carts, balloons, performances and more!

The Lincoln community, alumni and friends of the university are all invited to watch along the parade route, which starts outside the Nebraska Union and makes its way down 16th Street and Vine Street, ending up in the East Memorial Stadium Loop. Stay after the parade to grab some food and watch performances at the Cornstock Festival!
